"content": "Mr. Temporary Speaker, Sir, it unsettles me to know that it is very easy to intimidate Sen. (Dr.) Kuti. But that said and done, I would like to say that this Committee must address itself to how they can salvage Kenya from this sorry state we find ourselves in. I have seen certain robust proposals about the potential transformation of the usage of the Kenya Petroleum Refinery Limited (KPRL). However, my view is that there should be substantial investment to secure fully the operations of this refinery. Sen. Melly, Sen. Wangare and the Speaker, Hon. Ethuro, and I, visited an oil reach country, the Islamic Republic of Iran very recently. Part of their interest is to invest in oil in the general chain of oil from the point of extraction to the point of sale. Kenya can invite oil rich countries to invest in this country and secure jobs. With those few remarks, I beg to support.
