    "content": "Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, let me end by saying this. There is talk even in this House and even our women colleagues are saying that we want to send them home. I was at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) yesterday morning and I was accosted by a group of nominated MCAs. I think they have a function in Mombasa. They were saying that Parliament wants to get rid of them and I, Midiwo, was in the lead. Nothing could be further from the truth. All we are saying is that this country must live within its means. This Parliament is too large and we must reduce its numbers. If we do not, our grandchildren will never forgive us. You cannot have a small country like Kenya with 40 million people with over 500 Members of Parliament who are all handsomely paid. We must accept that. Let us cut our coat according to our size."
