"content": "I wish to respond to this issue. The Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) cancelled the results of 23 candidates from Maranda National School in computer studies for the 2013 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examinations. The results for the 23 candidates were cancelled after it was proved beyond any reasonable doubt that the candidates had colluded in the Computer Paper I451/1 examination. The KNEC’s mandate is to conduct academic, technical and other examinations within Kenya as it may consider desirable in the public interest and to award certificates and diplomas to successful candidates in such examinations. To do this effectively, the KNEC has also been given the power to make rules regulating the conduct of examinations and for all purpose identical thereto."
