    "content": "ensure that we play out our role and ensure that this Constitution is properly implemented. Mr. Temporary Speaker, Sir, there are very many other steps that can be taken immediately, aside from the straight forward civic education. We would urge in our educational system, that is, the school curriculum, that we start teaching this Constitution at various levels of the education system so that by the time the youth come out of the system, they are very much aware of what this Constitution is all about. We would urge, like it is happening in Europe, the United Kingdom and so on, if you have to become a citizen of UK or the United States of America (USA), you must show that you are aware of their constitution. You do not just become a citizen because you have stayed in the country for five or six years and you can pay the requisite fee at the immigration department or that you are a good citizen. You must in addition show that you are aware of the Constitution of that country."
