    "content": "Thank you, Mr. Temporary Speaker, Sir. I also stand to support this Motion, knowing that for the last ten to 15 years my main job, when I was in the civil society, was civic education. It was within this job that we were able to go down to the rural and remote areas of Ijara, Pokot and Turkana. In some places, we slept in manyattas. In places like Ijara where you cannot train men and women together, we were forced to train women in the afternoon and men in the morning or vice versa . Mr. Temporary Speaker, Sir, this civic education has yielded a lot because today when you go to those constituencies you have members and opinion leaders within the community who are able to stand and fight for their rights. I want to thank the Mover because I looked at a research that was reported the other day and realized that only 10 per cent of Kenyans know what the Senate does.
