Speaker, pursuant to Standing Order No.44(2)(c), I wish to request a Statement from the Chairperson of the Departmental Committee on Labour and Social Welfare regarding the implementation status of the Government policy on retirement age for persons living with disabilities. The former Ministry of State for Public Service, vide a letter dated 29th May, 2012, raised the mandatory retirement age for public servants living with disabilities from 60 years to 65 years."
