    "content": "Regarding other issues, the Committee resolved to extend the scope of the mandate to cover other areas that hon. Awiti had not raised in the Statement request. Such issues include the total cost, the CGR and the legality of the tendering process involved. The Committee then developed a programme meeting to take evidence from the witness who would assist the Committee to get to the bottom of this matter. My Committee was able to interview the following officers:- Cabinet Secretary for Transport and Infrastructure, the Principal Secretary in the Department of Transport, Acting Managing Director of the Kenya Railways Corporation (KRC), the Attorney-General of the Republic of Kenya, the Director-General of Public Procurement Oversight Authority (PPOA) and the Cabinet Secretary for National Treasury."
