    "content": "Hon. Speaker, I do not know whether this is how we have behaved in the past, but there is something that saddens me very much. This is the judicial interference in the work of Parliament. There is separation of power and the Senate and the National Assembly have never interfered with the judicial system. We have also never interfered with the Executive and nobody should dictate what business we transact or how our calendar should be and what we do. This is because we know our mandate is to legislate, represent our people and play oversight role on the Government so that we hold it to account. What does it mean, when the Senate follows due diligence, a governor is impeached by the Members of the County Assembly (MCAs) of Embu and is reinstated by a court? Our dignity has been eroded and the courts are fighting Parliament."
