(Prof.) Kindiki): Mr. Speaker, Sir, the Kenya Police Service is under the leadership of the Inspector-General of Police and there is an officer designated as the spokesperson of the police. Unless those statements are coming from the Inspector-General or the spokesperson, the sentiments of an individual officer, in my view, without the benefit of having listened or seen what Sen. Wetangula is talking about, I think we should say very clearly here that it is not a matter of choice or preference. The issue of adhering to the rule of law and due process is constitutional and anyone who breaks that order is to be subjected under the law.
