Speaker, pursuant to Standing Order No.44(2)(c), I wish to request for a Statement from the Chairperson of the Departmental Committee on Administration and National Security concerning alleged corruption cases in the Department of Immigration. In the recent past, there have been alleged cases of corruption at the Department of Immigration and, subsequently, investigations into the matter were undertaken by the national investigating agencies consequent to which a number of officers were suspended.
