    "content": "Among the functions of the Supreme Court will be that it must interpret and expound even on all legislations and enactments brought before it. The Supreme Court, in its own jurisdiction will say that: “What Parliament has passed is in contradiction with the Constitution and it cannot be law”. That benefit of doubt was not there before; the role of the Supreme Court will be parallel to the role played by the High Court and the Court of Appeal. However, the Supreme Court will have powers superseding the powers of those other courts. It will have power to relook and re-evaluate both the county and the national governments in terms of how they put together their statutes and decide whether the county and national government laws conform to our Constitution. That will be a very important function and role of the Supreme Court."
