Speaker, with a lot of tremendous respect to the other House, we know that there is a Senate which was created by this Constitution, but we must ask ourselves: Is this House really working? The Speaker of that Senate is out of this country today as we speak. He is in Geneva. His deputy is also in New York. The Clerk of that Senate is also away and even the Senior Deputy Clerk (SDC) of the Senate is away. That House has again changed their Standing Orders to say that they must meet only thrice in a week; they are now amended to state that they do not meet on Wednesday morning. I do not know whether they are unable to wake up in the morning and attend to the business of the House. So, they are only meeting on Tuesday afternoon, Wednesday afternoon and Thursday afternoon. Do we really need a House that sits only for three days in a week?"
