Let me first thank the Chair of the Education, Research and Technology Committee for a very comprehensive answer to my concern. Although it has come a bit late because I had asked for the Statement last year, I am glad that some efforts have been made to restore the process of loan application online. However, I would like the Chair to clarify one issue. The Ministry recognizes that there is a real underfunding of this particular important docket and many students continue to leave college because they cannot afford to pay school fees and the bursary schemes available at the constituency level are not able to fund them as much as they would want. What is the Ministry doing to make sure the funding is increased to meet the double-intakes that we have witnessed in the last two years?"
