"content": "Another aspect is the power. We are going to increase power by 5,000 megawatts and 80 per cent of our households will be connected to power within three years. However, the cost of energy is still a big problem. If we do not try to bring it down, we will not get investors to come and invest in this country. Let us try to bring it down, so that we can be compared with other African countries like South Africa or Egypt. On infrastructure development, we are doing quite a lot to join our neighbours, but we cannot do a lot internally. At the moment, the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure is looking for money to tarmack more roads, but it cannot do that because we have not funded it adequately. The development of this country depends very much on infrastructural development. So, let us try to generate some funds internally. The wage bill is a very big issue, but before we do anything, we really need to curb on the wastage that we have. We need to curb corruption in the country. Then we can generate more funds for the Jubilee Government to do a lot of development. With those few remarks, I support the Speech."
