"content": "there is equity such that if there is distribution of jobs in the army or in the police force, they must be given to all the counties. This is because as I said there should be equity. In Narok, I hear people saying that, that is a zone for a particular party. One wonders whether we are a community that spoils for war with other communities. When you say that Narok is a United Republic Party (URP) zone and you say Kajiado belongs to The National Alliance (TNA) Party have we as a community agreed on that? We have not and let everybody know that we are a community that is entitled to its own political destiny. We have to determine our political path without anybody else’s interference and that is costing us jobs. You go there and you are told: “You are not in URP and so you cannot get a job.” So, we are saying there can only be unity if there is fairness in the distribution of resources and jobs. There is only one other element that is causing problems and this is the issue of the water towers. We expected the President to talk about that because the pastoralists are suffering. The wildlife and domestic animals are suffering. So, we would like the President to do what he has done in Embobut or wherever else in Maasai Mau. We are saying that he should actually treat us all equally and let us benefit from his Government. Thank you, hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker."
