"content": "First of all, I want to thank hon. Members for the work that we have done in the last two weeks, and for the work that we did earlier for about two months. We have passed a number of Bills and it is quite good for this country. Despite the little differences that we have as a House, we have also demonstrated some traits of being national leaders. Hon. Deputy Speaker, I hope that during the recess period, hon. Members will have time to interact with their electorate. I am a Member of the Budget and Appropriations Committee. We have scheduled a number of activities to make sure that we have a Budget for next year. So, there are a number of public meetings, and we want Kenyans to participate in making the Budget. We request hon. Members to assist the Budget and Appropriations Committee in mobilising members of the public, so that when we visit the various counties, we can have good attendance and get a feeling of what Kenyans want provided for in the Budget. At the same time, I would like to appeal to hon. Members to also create time and participate in those meetings. This will be in addition to participating in their individual respective committee meetings. During the recess, we will also be getting reports from the Departmental Committees, in terms of their own analysis of the Budget and what they would want prioritised.
