    "content": "Thank you, hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, for allowing me to make a contribution to this very important Motion. The Fertilzers and Animal Foodstuffs (Amendment) Bill is key with regard to areas where farming is the mainstay. We know that the backbone of this country is agriculture. It is timely that we are now able to create a body that will make sure that fertilizer procurement, distribution and storage is done in an orderly manner. In the past in this country, farmers have been exploited because businessmen have been importing fertilizer and creating artificial shortages. So, when fertilizer is not available, the prices skyrocket. This has made farming very expensive and the cost of The electronic version of the Official Hansard Report is for information purposesonly.
