"content": "Mr. Speaker, Sir, Standing Order No.69 is on the right to be heard. The Standing Order states:- “Whenever the Constitution or any written law requires the Senate to consider a petition or a proposal for the removal of a person from office, the person shall be entitled to appear before the relevant committee of the Senate considering the matter and shall be entitled to legal representation.” Maybe in the course of moving the Motion, it should be clarified to us whether, indeed, the Governor appeared before the Committee or not. But he is also given another chance to appear before this House. Before we proceed, it is important for us to establish whether, indeed, he had been notified or invited to appear before this House. If he has not been notified, it will be unfair for us to proceed unless that notification was made."
