    "content": "Mr. Speaker, Sir, I just want to say one thing. The relationship between MCAs and governors is very important. Sen. (Dr.) Machage said that there is an attempt by governors to buy MCAs to do their bidding. We, as a Senate, have a responsibility to oversight both. Secondly, I want to tell the governors and this applies to all leaders, that positions of leadership require humility and consultation. Indeed, the essence of democracy is consensus building. What we have seen in many of these counties is the tendency of the “big man syndrome” to arise in governors. This is very dangerous because in Embu this has led to a very unfortunate end. Therefore, the culture of consultation and humility and democracy by building consensus will help us create accountability and transparency in the counties.
