"content": "â(1) One person who immediately before the appointment of the Chairperson and a Member of the Commission under Sub-Clause 4 of Section 7 was an officer of the former Electoral Commission may, subject to the Constitution, continue.â (2) A person who ceases to hold office as a result of Section 1 shall be eligible, subject to the requirements of Article 232 of the Constitution, this Act, and any other law, for the employment by the Commission or for deployment in the Public Service.
