Senators, pursuant to Article 181 of the Constitution and Section 33 of the County Governments Act No.17of 2012, on 14th May 2014, the County Assembly of Kericho approved a Motion “to remove from office by impeachment”, the County Governor of Kericho County. By letter dated 15th May 2014, and received in the Office of the Speaker of the Senate on 16th May 2014, the Speaker of the County Assembly of Kericho informed the Speaker of the Senate of the approval of the Motion by the County Assembly and further forwarded to the Speaker of the Senate the following documents:- 1. The Order Paper of 14th May 2014. 2. The HANSARD Report of 14th May 2014. 3. Particulars of the allegations leveled against the Governor. I have directed that these documents be made available to all Senators. The documents will be available in the Table Office which is located on the ground floor next to the Senators’ lounge in this building. The electronic version of the Senate Hansard Report is for information purposes only. A certified version of this Report can be obtained from the Hansard Editor, Senate."
