    "content": "Mr. Speaker, Sir, actually, the difference between counties and countries is only the “r”. It could be a typo but nonetheless, I would like to answer this question in such a way that it satisfies my colleague, Sen. Mukiite and the House. I would like to mention that the allocation of land to squatters in this scheme was done by a committee of 21 people. This committee was elected publicly by the communities of that area. Then the administration on the implementation of the scheme was handed over to the Settlement Fund Trustees. The fourth part was on the state of landlessness in the country per county. I hope there is no problem here. Currently, there is no data on the number of landless people in Kenya. Therefore, there is need for the national and county governments as well as the National Land Commission to establish this kind of database but at the moment, it is not there.
