Speaker, as the Chair of the Departmental Committee on Education, Research and Technology, first and foremost, I want to give my condolences and the condolences of the people of Muranga County. I would like to inform this House that the day before hon. Nyumu passed on; he participated from 9.00 a.m. to 3.00 p.m. in a Committee meeting. He was the person who said the prayers that day. Hon. Nyumu was one committed Member of the Departmental Committee on Education, Research and Technology. It is such a great loss to the country and to the people of Gatundu South. I would like to tell the Budget and Appropriations Committee that one of the things that hon. Nyumu was fighting for was to make sure that the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) between the Government and teachers was implemented. So, as we look at the Budget, we are hoping that that part of the CBA that The electronic version of the Official Hansard Report is for information purposesonly.
