    "content": "I stand to support this Miscellaneous Amendment Bill. As my colleague hon. (Dr.) Pukose was saying, the meaning of the “miscellaneous amendment Bill” is an amalgamation of several statutes that are amended through one piece of legislation. It cannot be brought in separate pieces. Like on this one, there are seven statutes or Acts of Parliament that are being amended and these amendments are not major amendments as opposed to what the Member for Bomachoge has said. It is not a major amendment that requires going through committees or the respective Ministries. Let me just talk about three proposed amendments. One is on land. The amendments are not major. Actually, they are just meant to align with the current realities, especially with the current Constitution. The electronic version of the Official Hansard Report is for information purposesonly.
