Temporary Deputy Speaker, I wish to propose an amendment to the Report on the recommendations which are in Chapter 4, specifically Recommendation No.8 which reads:- “The Government should commission an inter-ministerial and multi-stakeholder taskforce to address the legal barriers regarding the classification of khat derivatives as psychotropic substances.” Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, I wish to amend this by deletion of the words “barrier” and “surrounding” and replacing that after the word “legal” with “and scientific basis for”. It will, therefore, read as follows:- “That the Government should commission an inter-ministerial and multi-stakeholder taskforce to address the legal and scientific basis for classification of"
