Deputy Speaker, as I move this Bill, I want to begin first by paying my very deep respects to the tens of our citizens who lost their lives recently when we were on recess in over five counties; Makueni, Kiambu, Embu and two other counties. They lost their lives and many other hundreds of them lost their eyesight and are suffering numerous health problems out of alcohol abuse. The principal objective of this Bill is to increase the functions of the National Authority for the Campaign against Alcohol and Drug Abuse (NACADA)."
