When a Statement is sought by a Member through the Chairman of a Committee, what is expected of the Chairman to do so that he can bring the answer? What is the procedure? The moment it is sought, it is not the responsibility of the Chair to go looking for the Minister. The moment it is sought here, it is supposed to be relayed to the Minister through the Clerk’s office, then we get the answer in our office which we read to the House.
