"content": "Mr. Speaker, Sir, I would not want to preempt the recommendations of the Committee arising from this visit. However, the preliminary finding is that all projects had stalled due to lack of funds. It is, therefore, of utmost importance that the projects receive the necessary funding for successful completion. Mr. Speaker, Sir, the Committee has scheduled to visit other projects in Kwale, Mombasa and Kilifi counties and present its report to the Senate for consideration and adoption. In the meantime, the Committee will continue to engage with the national Treasury and the Cabinet Secretary for the Ministry of Lands, Housing and Urban Development in order to ensure that the contractors are back on site and the projects are completed. Mr. Speaker, Sir, I beg to submit the Statement."
