"content": "Thank you, Mr. Temporary Speaker, Sir, for giving me an opportunity to support this Motion. I will just start like Sen. Ongoro started; a lot has been said, but one thing for sure, if you want to bring changes in any community, education is the first weapon that anyone needs. It is time we gave the marginalized communities a supportive pillar to hold on to and to be able to catch up with the rest of the country considering that the Constitution provides them with the right to basic education. Normally people with ability will take their children to private schools and when they get to Standard Eight, they are removed from the private schools and registered in those same areas that are looking for facilitation. Those children then perform well and get the opportunity to go to national schools. Meanwhile we forget that if we empower the children from the marginalized areas, they will be able to compete with the children in private schools and also go to the national schools. I support this Motion because I believe that if we facilitate the marginalized communities with the right facilities, for example, the boarding schools thus creating a conducive environment to learn. We will be moving not just these communities, but a county or a country towards the right direction. They will be able to compete with children from other areas. A child in Alliance Boys High School will be able to compete with a child in Mandera Boys High School, with no challenges. Thank you."
