    "content": "Hon. Speaker, I want to thank the Chair. Having said so, this is a matter affecting national food security. We have a case where farmers have done their best but some funny diseases have come to render those efforts worthless. I would like the Chair to tell the House what his Committee is going to do to ensure that farmers from that region are given relief food? Clearly, there is a disaster in waiting. It has affected a big area. I do not know what the Committee is doing, in liaison with the Ministry, to ensure that the Government prepares to provide relief food supplies to farmers and other residents of the South Rift region."
