    "content": "Mr. Speaker, Sir, I request for a statement with regard to the declaration of Monday, 7th July, 2014 as a public holiday by some Governors. I would like to seek a statement from the Chairperson, Standing Committee on National Security and Foreign Relations on the declaration of Monday 7th July, 2014, as a public holiday by some Governors. I understand that some Governors declared Monday 7th July, 2014 as a public holiday and instructed the workers in their counties not to report to work. In this statement, the Chairperson should explain under what legal basis a Governor can declare a public holiday. Two, if a Governor has such authority, what action can be taken against Governors who gave the said illegal declaration?"
