    "content": "Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, thank you for granting me this opportunity to move this Motion of national importance. I will crave your indulgence to read the Motion again because I am quite sure that there are certain Members of this House who were not here when I was reading it as a matter of national importance earlier. Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, in accordance with Standing Order No. 53(b) I beg to move that this House do now adjourn. I beg to move the following Motion. THAT, realizing that the Bill of Rights, as contained in Chapter 4 of the Constitution provides for rights and fundamental freedoms by stating inter alia in Article 19(1) that “the Bill of Rights is an integral part of Kenya’s democratic state and is the framework for social, economic and cultural policies”; conscious of the fact that Article 19(3)(a) makes it absolutely clear that “the rights and fundamental freedoms in the Bill of The electronic version of the Senate Hansard Report is for information purposes only. A certified version of this Report can be obtained from the Hansard Editor, Senate."
