If the Government is very committed to create some quality assurance and standardization, it can empower, especially, the Ministry of Education, Research and Technology to do some of those functions. It is not prudent and there is no value for money in creating such an Authority to do things that are being done by existing institutions. I agree and support that we need to harmonize and create some sanity in creating data and information on qualifications of various sectors in society so that we have some understanding and clarity. The remedy is not to create an Authority to do these things. I stand to oppose this Bill. Thank you, hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker."
