    "content": "Thank you, hon. Speaker for this brief time to contribute to this Motion. The issue was not whether we required the Standard Gauge Railway (SGR) or not. We require the SGR for very many reasons that have been enumerated by my colleagues. The question is: Did we require it at any cost or at all cost? I believe that the cost we are dealing with here is inflated. They are saying that because of the topography, the cost had to go up. That is a red-herring. That is not the truth. One, this railway is one track and it is not electric. That cost for single track non-electric rail is very interesting. As I end, because mine is on the cost issue, my people - the Bukusu - have a saying. There is a very interesting antelope that when it runs to hide, it goes on the rocks and you cannot trace it. That is because you cannot find its foot prints on the rocks. But the famous Bukusu warriors traced that antelope even where there are no tracks and The electronic version of the Official Hansard Report is for information purposesonly.
