Speaker, these measures, together with enhanced efforts of our security personnel, should go along way to address the concerns raised by Kenyans regarding their safety and should offer a peaceful and conducive environment for business activities. The importance of macro-economic stability in sustaining long term investment, economic growth and development cannot be over-emphasized. As such the Government will continue to pursue prudent fiscal and monetary policies that are supportive of low inflation, low and stable interest rates, and stable exchange rates, all of which are key to accelerated inclusive growth and development."
