    "content": "Thank you, hon. Speaker. Pursuant to Standing Order No.44(2)(c), I wish to request for a statement from the Chairperson of the Departmental Committee on Health regarding the recent Global Fund conference held late 2013. Hon. Speaker, the aim of the conference was to raise US$15 million to drive the implementation of the strategy to save 10 million lives. Further, the conference also sought to institute measures to prevent between 140 and 180 new AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria infections in several parts of the world including Kenya.
