    "content": "Hon. Temporary Deputy Chairman, I beg to move:- THAT, Clause 8 be amended – (a) in sub-clause (4), by deleting the word “Director” and substituting therefor the word “Registrar”. (b) in sub-clause (5), by deleting the word “Director” and substituting therefore the word “Registrar”. (c) in sub-clause (6) by deleting the word “Director” and substituting therefore the word “Registrar”. We do not think that people should be directing people’s marriages. They should just merely be registering marriages only and that should be the operational title of the person who will be registering marriages; the change is from “Director” to “Registrar” in the entire Act. That is the proposal that is being made. Even at the moment it is “Registrar” and not “Director”."
