Temporary Deputy Chairman, the issue here is that we have to respect, not even the marriage itself, but even the consent to marry, so that if somebody was to stop a marriage, there must be very serious grounds. Nobody can just come to the church and say “I have this man’s child” or something like that and then the marriage stops. We have witnessed marriages stopped in such circumstances for as long as two or three years. So, I support this particular amendment, knowing very well that marriages have to be protected."
