Deputy Speaker, if you go to Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH) and all the general hospitals – like what were being referred to as district hospitals in big towns - you will find those interns working. They are the ones who work day and night. They are the backbones of those institutions. It is a very sad day that nobody wants to listen to this. Everybody is talking about health services having been devolved. However, we are not going to devolve such an important issue like internship. It is something that has to be done before those doctors can actually be taken on board after their internship."
