    "content": "I urge the Mover of this Bill to canvass effectively with the likes of my colleague, hon. Mbadi, so that they can stand with us, support us and make sure that this Bill is passed with the two-thirds majority that it requires. It is high time that the rest of the country noticed that the people from northern Kenya are now up standing and asking for their right contrary to what has been assumed, that they will only wait for relief food. We no longer need relief food; what we need is an Equalization Fund, so that we develop our roads, health centres and water systems. We will use the water systems to irrigate our land. This has already been done in Turkana and it is going on. We can also do it in our area. Instead of waiting for relief food, we can use this money to do a mega irrigation project and come up with development in our area."
