This is also a very important Bill, having regard to the enormous work that is going on in the country, and having regard to the contribution to the economy of this country players in this industry, particularly contractors, are engaged in. More importantly, now that we are being told that construction is one of the leading economic players in terms of contribution to growth, I have looked at this Bill and felt a bit disappointed that it is only establishing the National Construction Authority in the standard manner of setting up the Authority and providing for its powers, functions, finances, et cetera ."
