I think to the extent that Clause 7(1) has already been amended, and this matter did cause a lot of discussion in the Committee, I support the Chair that Clause 7(2) be deleted so that, as we move forward, really, this is an important Bill that is required for our families. It has been cleaned up by the Committee and it allows all the parties in the marriage to contribute to the property. I do hope that now because the contentious clause has been dealt with, we can then proceed, having deleted Sub-section 7(2). I will also urge the women of Kenya to consider freezing conjugal rights for quite a number of days."
