Deputy Speaker, pursuant to Standing Order No.44(2)(c) I wish to request for a Statement from the Chairperson of the Departmental Committee on Education, Research and Technology regarding the disqualification of Messrs. Nyakundi, Henry Otieno and Koskei from Kapenguria Boys High School from participation in the secondary school ball games. The three were disqualified on the ground that they were not bona fide students of the said school. It was alleged that Koskei was a herdsboy and the entire team was disqualified from the ball games. In the Statement, the Chairperson should inquire into and report on whether or not the three are bona fide students of the school and the action that will be taken against the officials or teachers who were involved in disqualifying these young men."
