Speaker, pursuant to Standing Order 44(2)(c), I wish to request for a Statement from the Chairperson of the Departmental Committee on Transport, Public Works and Housing regarding irregular demolitions. Demolition of some buildings and properties has taken place before the affected persons were given prior notice. A case in point is the recent demolition of warehouses belonging to some business people based in Thika Town.
