In his Statement, the Chairperson of the Committee should inquire into and report on the following: the reasons behind the apparent upsurge of extra-judicial killings in the country, especially of people who have been suspected of having links with terrorist groups, without them being given a fair hearing; what steps are being taken by the relevant arms of the Government to investigate those murders and apprehend those who were responsible; and how and who authorised the rendition of the seven Kenyans to Uganda, and what the Government is doing to bring them back to Kenya to be tried in a court of law?"
