Police records at Isiolo Police Station equally have no report on the disappearance of the same. Mr. Tomas Kuntai Kamushu was reported missing at the Timau Police Station on 4th July, 2013 by his brother Mr. Loitere Kamushu. Following the report, a signal for a missing person was circulated to all stations in the country requesting for information which may lead to the tracing of the missing person. Hon. Deputy Speaker, as for Tomas Kuntai, he is alleged to have travelled to Timau Town to sell his six sheep after which he did some shopping for foodstuff and boarded a matatu to his home. He, however, alighted before the matatu left town and went back to the shops leaving his shopping in the matatu and never returned. Subsequently, Inquiry File No.1 of 2013 was opened by the OCPD, Buuri and efforts to trace Kuntai in places like Nakuru, Lewa Conservancy and Ngare Ndare Forest have been in vain. However, investigations are still ongoing. Records held at the Nanyuki Police Station do not show a missing person by the name Mohammed Elimbil as given by the hon. Member. However, there is a report of a missing person by the name Mohammed Dibil Hussein. If at all the hon. Member sought information as regards Mr. Mohammed Dibil Hussein, I wish to state as follows:- On 27th June, 2012, Mr. Mohammed Ibrahim reported at the Nanyuki Police Station that his father Mr. Mohammed Dibil Hussein left home on 25th June, 2012 to attend to some personal issues within their village and never returned home. He further reported that his father aged 60 years old was last seen in the company of one Omar Barre. After providing full description of the missing person, the police circulated the information to all police stations in the country requesting for any information on the whereabouts of the missing person. Efforts to trace the missing person using his mobile phone were in vain. Subsequently the police in Nanyuki opened a case File Number CR755/288/2012 and using information gathered, two suspects namely James Opili Lemole and Ndegwa Kitado were arrested and charged before Nanyuki Law Courts vide Court File No.888/2012 with offence of kidnapping contrary to Section 258 of the Penal Code. However, the prosecution was forced to withdraw the case due to technicalities and lack of evidence. Further investigations and efforts to trace the missing persons are still ongoing. So, that is the Statement.Thank you."
