Our Government has not taken a decisive action to address the plight of the old people in the society. This Motion, therefore, calls for a drastic change to address the plight of the elderly persons in this society. You note that there are more than 2 million Kenyans in the society who are very vulnerable and poor. We need to do something about them. You also note that life expectancy has gone down tremendously. Therefore, a monthly allowance of Kshs2, 000 is peanuts. It is a small amount of money. I suggest that more money be set aside to cater for the elderly in our society. Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, it is important to note the great role that was played by the Mau"
