    "content": "Madam Temporary Deputy Speaker, it should also be noted that the Government has rolled out the Kazi kwa Vijana Programme, which targets the youth. We know that when the Government allocates funds for any activities that should be carried out by the youth, they normally benefit. The elderly sometimes force themselves to perform these duties, but they do not perform to the satisfaction or expectation of everybody. So, it is important that as the Government supports the youth through the Kazi kwa Vijana Programme, it should also come up with an alternative ways of assisting the elderly so that they are allocated the resources to support them. As it has been said, because of the opportunistic diseases, specifically HIV/AIDS that has wiped out many young families, the elderly have been left with the responsibility of taking care of the young ones left behind by these families. If they do not have any fund to assist them either for medication or any other basic needs, certainly, they all become vulnerable. I believe that this is a very important Motion that we all need to support."
