    "content": "Thank you, Madam Temporary Deputy Speaker. Although I support the Motion and will be speaking about it after this amendment, I would like to oppose the proposed amendment because, at this point, we have already gone through the Budget Policy Statement. It would be unrealistic to expect that, that proposal will be taken into account by 1st July this year. I, therefore, urge the Mover and the Seconder to come up with a more realistic period of, probably, 1st July, 2012. It will give the person who is working on the Bill on Social Protection time to move the Bill and incorporate the lessons learnt, so that we do not amend or take part in an exercise in futility knowing very well that it will not be in the next Budget."
