    "content": "Mr. Speaker, Sir, on behalf of my colleagues, Sen. Mugo and Sen. Leshore, I stand here, with a lot of humility, to say that we accept the nomination that the Senate has given to us. On their behalf and my own behalf, we pledge that we will work to the expectations of the Senate. I do not want to say much, except to thank hon. Senators for bestowing this honour upon us. We know that it is an enormous responsibility, especially at this time. As Sen. Kajwang said, Parliament is under attack.
